Enrik garcia 는 곧바로 비상사태를 선포하고 재빨리 Albert maroto (guitar) 와 Sabatan 출신의 Elisa C. martin (vocal) 로 빈자리를 메운다. 일이 한꺼번에 잘되려고 했던 것인지 두 멤버의 갑작스런 탈퇴 사태가 수습되고 곧바로 제작된 두 번째 데모 "Dreams of madness" 는 표현력 확장의 일환으로 Guillermo (keyboard) 라는 새식구의 가입도 이루어지며 Dark moor 의 앞날을 밝게 해주었다. Guillermo 의 참여로 새로운 영감을 얻은 밴드는 내친김에 세 번째 데모 "Flying" 까지 순식간에 녹음해내며 정규 앨범 발매를 목전에 두게 된다. 이미 매니아층들의 암묵적인 지지를 얻어낸 "Dreams of madness" 와 " Flying" 을 밑그림으로 한 Dark moor 의 역사적 데뷔 앨범 "Shadowland" 가 Arise 레코드사를 통해 발표되어 본격적인 시장 공략에 나설 찰나, 호사다마 (好事多魔) 라 했던가, 첫 정규 앨범 발매라는 경사 뒤엔 키보디스트 Guillermo 의 탈퇴가 기다리고 있었다. 비록 Dark moor 의 뿌리가 Helloween 풍의 멜로딕 파워 메틀이라 해도, 실제론 키보드의 비중이 절대적인 Blind gurdian 풍의 에픽 메틀 작법에 더 가까운지라 Guillermo 에 이은 Roberto pena (keyboard) 의 가입은 필연적으로 이루어져야 했다. 다시금 재정비된 밴드는 Dio 같은 거물급의 오프닝 밴드로 무대에 오르며 인지도를 쌓았고, 스페인은 물론 독일을 비롯한 유럽 대륙과 브라질, 일본 등지에까지 알려지며 멜로딕 메틀계의 중요 아이콘으로 부상하게 된다. Demons & wizards 와의 성공적인 스페인 합동 투어를 치르고, 2000 년 8 월에 Luigi stefanini라는 인물의 지휘 아래 이탈리아의 New sin 스튜디오에서 제작된 두 번째 앨범 "The hall of the olden dreams" 은 스페인 출신 메틀 밴드로선 최초로 한국, 러시아, 루마니아, 태국 에까지 이르는 방대한 영역으로의 본격적 비상을 가능케한 세계 수준의 앨범이 된다. 두 번째 앨범의 인기에 힘입어 Vina rock 과 Mijas rock 을 비롯한 다양한 페스티벌과 투어를 감행하던 Dark moor 는 짬을 내어 Helloween 트리뷰트 앨범 "The keeppers of jerico" 에 Helloween 을 헌정하는 등 안팎으로 바쁜 나날을 보낸다. 이듬해 Dark moor 는 Heavy rock 매거진으로부터 '밴드 어브 더 이어' 로 까지 선정되며, 막연했던 밴드의 입지가 어느정도인지를 실감하였고, 이를 기념하기 위해서였는지 EP 앨범 "The fall of melnibone" 를 한정 발매하여 매체와 대중들에게 감사의 뜻을 전했다. 같은 해 11 월, 2 집과 마찬가지로 Luigi stefanini 와 호흡을 맞춘 세 번째 정규 앨범 "The gates of oblivion" 은 Valcavasian 성가대와 Cydonia 소속 보컬리스트 Dan keying 의 참여로 인해 더욱 더 무르익은 멜로딕 파워를 과시하며 Rock machina, Vina rock, Metal christmas 같은 대규모 페스티벌 참여의 확실한 명분이 되어 주었다. 하지만 여전히 불안한 라인업은 Robert pena 의 탈퇴로 이어졌고, 게스트 멤버 Isabel garcia의 도움으로 남은 공연을 무사히 마치게 된다. 이후 곧바로 발매된 어쿠스틱 EP 앨범 "Between light and darkness" 는 잦은 멤버 교체에 대한 액땜의 의미로서, 아시아 한정판에는 Dies irae 의 오케스트라 버젼을 포함한 보너스 트랙들이 수록되어 아시아 대륙이 이들에게 보내는 지지의 정도를 알 수 있게 해준다. 다시 오랜 세월을 동고동락한 Elisa C. martin, Albert maroto 그리고 Jorge saez 가 집단 탈퇴함으로서 밴드는 해체의 위기를 맞게 되는데, 하도 당해왔던 터라 이번엔 Enrik garcia 와 Anan kaddouri 이 의연히 대처하여 Alfred romero (vocal), Jose garrido (guitars), Andy C. (drum) 의 발빠른 가입을 유도해 최악의 상황을 종료시킨다. 새로운 라인업을 기념하는 셀프 타이틀 정규 앨범 "Dark moor" 를 발매하고 멜로딕 파워 메틀계의 영웅으로서의 자존심을 지켜낸 Dark moor 는 2005 년 신보 "Beyond the sea" 를 발매하였다
