Daddy Wilson은 50 년 전 노스 캐롤라이나의 Edenton이라는 작은 마을에서 태어났습니다.
가난했던 그의 어린시절 그는노래를 들어본적이 없다고 합니다.16세에 학교를 그만두고
미 육군에 지원하면서 독일로 날아갑니다.(파견근무)
그곳에서 지금의 부인을 만나면서 블르스를 듣게됩니다.70년대 그는 브르스에 빠지면서
지금의 모습을 합니다.
그는 2004 년 첫 번째 앨범 " Get Your Knees and Pray" 를 녹음했습니다.
2013년 그는 앨범을 발표하고 노익장을 과시합니다.
