보컬리스트 그레이스 슬릭 (Grace Slick) 과 드러머 인 스펜서 드라이든 (Spencer Dryden) 과 함께 밴드의
첫 앨범이다. 앨범은 빌보드 앨범 차트 3 위를 기록했으며 RIAA 의 금 앨범 인증을 받았습니다 .
원래 드러머 Alexander "Skip"Spence 는 1966 년 중반에 밴드를 떠났습니다. 그는 곧 경험이 풍부한 LA
재즈 드러머 인 Dryden과 Charlie Chaplin의 조카딸로 대체되었습니다. Slick, Dryden, 남성 리드 보컬리스트
