Sixto Diaz Rodriguez 는 로드리게스 (1942 년 7 월 10 일 출생)로 알려져 있으며,

(미국에서는 별볼일 없었다는...)
그러나 Rodriguez에 알려지지 않은 그의 앨범은 Elvis Presley 보다는 기록을 더 판매 한 기록이
남아프리카 에서 극단적 성공으로(역주행).
Rodriguez에 관하여 부족한 정보 때문에, 그가 첫번째 앨범을 발표 한 직후에 자살 했었다는
소문이 났었지만 사실이 아니었구요.
1990 년대에 급작스럽게 확산된 남아공 팬들은 로드리게스를 찾아 연락하여 예상치 못한
음악 경력의 부활을(재기) 이끌었습니다.
