"4" 는 Foreigner 4 로도 알려져 있으며, 1981 년 7 월 2 일에 Atlantic Records 에서 발매 된
영국계 미국인 록 밴드 Foreigner 의 네 번째 스튜디오 앨범 입니다 . 앨범에서 몇몇은 " 긴급한 ",
" 너 같이 소녀를 기다리는 "및 " Juke 상자 영웅 "를 포함하여 히트 합니다.
앨범은 Billboard 앨범 차트에서 총 10 주 동안 1 위를 차지하면서 전 세계적으로 성공을 거두었습니다.
결국 미국에서만 7 백만장의 앨범을 판매했습니다.
비 하인드 이야기를 적어 봅니다.
앨범은 원래 Silent Partners로 제목이 정해졌지만 이후 4 로 변경되어 Foreigner의 네 번째 앨범이었죠.
그래서 인지 현재 밴드가 4 명으로 줄어들었습니다.
1981 년 Art studio Hipgnosis 는 원래의 제목을 바탕으로 표지를 디자인 하도록 요청 받았고,
그들은 한 쌍의 쌍안경이 오버 헤드를 보면서 침대에서 한 젊은이의 흑백 이미지를 고르려 했습니다.
그 결과 디자인은 "너무 동성애"를 느낌을 준다는 이유로 밴드에 의해 거절 되었구요.
4 를위한 보충 덮개는 바브 Defrin에 의해 디자인되고 고풍 영화 지도자 후에 만들어졌습니다.
간질 (hipgnosis)은 여전히 음반사를 디자인하는 것으로 알려져 있습니다.
앨범은 헤드 게임 에서 시작된 단단한 바위에 밴드 이동의 완료를 표시했지요.
이언 맥도널드 와 알 그린 우드 는 모두 4를 기록하기 전에 떠났습니다.
결과적으로 앨범의 모든 노래는 Mick Jones 및 / 또는 Lou Gramm의 작곡입니다.
McDonald와 Greenwood는 각각 색소폰과 키보드를 연주 했으므로 "Urgent"교량에서 색소폰 솔로를
연주 한 Junior Walker 와 나중에 젊은 토마스 돌비 (Thomas Thomas Dolby )가 참여한 몇몇
세션 뮤지션이 필요했습니다.
