Jimmy Page 와 Robert Plant ( John Bonham드러머) 가 공들여 가사를 3년동안 써왔고 발표한 시기가 1975년이다.존 폴 존스는 베이스 기타. 지금의 락 밴드들을 보면 이들만큼 하는 밴드가 있을까 싶은 락의 교과서 그룹이다. 지금도 락엔롤을 생각하면 이들을 빼고는 말이 안될만큼 커다란 업적을 남긴 그룹. 드러머 존 보냄의 약물과다 사용으로 세상을 떠니기 전까지는 과한 표현으로 모든 락엔롤은 이들에 의해 탄생한다고 할정도로 위대한 밴드임에는 부정할수없다.
