블랙메탈계의 수퍼 밴드로 군림하고 있는 'Dimmu Borgir'는 1993년 결성된
노르웨이 출신의 6인조 그룹이다.
밴드명은 노르웨이 말로, 'Dimmu=foggy/ dark', 'Borgir=castle/ fortress'로, '
어둠의 城', '어둠의 요새'쯤 된다고 한다.
사실 헤비한 음악의 전개에는 건반의 역할이 큰 비중을 차지한다고 생각하는데,
'Dimmu Borgir' 역시 건반이 톡톡히 한 몫을 하고 있다.
